I had severe postpartum hair loss. Here's how I took control
I knew postpartum hair loss was normal. But knowing didn't make it easier.
My hair was falling out in huge chunks. Every time I showered, my hands would be covered in strands. Every time I brushed, more hair filled the sink. It felt like it would never stop.
One day, I hit my limit. I couldn’t take it anymore: I shaved it all off.
It felt kinda extreme, but at least I wouldn’t have to see my hair falling out every day.
It was tough at first. I didn’t recognize myself. But as the weeks went by, something changed. My hair started growing back. Over time, it looked fuller, softer. Now, at shoulder length, it finally feels like mine again.
Looking back, I realize something: Hair renewal takes time. How you support yourself through it can make a difference. It’s about giving your body what it needs.
If you’re in this stage, you’re not alone. Postpartum hair loss is real, but so is regrowth.
You’re Not Alone
Losing hair after birth is hard. Seeing it grow back can be emotional and empowering. Let’s support your hair’s natural path forward. Together.
